Privacy policy

Updated 20 October 2026. This policy describes PlugNear’s current website and early-access charging app. PlugNear’s business contact is puneetjaiswal@zohomail.in. The pilot provides verified-host requests and direct-to-host UPI instructions; PlugNear does not hold customer funds or independently verify bank transfers. Pilot availability depends on actual approved hosts.

Information you choose to provide

Account registration uses an email and password, or a supported external identity/phone provider when enabled. Password authentication is handled by Supabase Auth; do not send passwords to the PlugNear team. Profiles may include a display name and contact phone. Host submissions include a charger address, coordinates, connector, power, price, availability and verification notes. Booking and dispute workflows may hold request times, energy estimates and the information you submit.

Location and visibility

The app asks for foreground location when you use discovery or register a charging location. You can deny permission. Discovery uses your position to show nearby results; charger registration stores the site location you submit. Approved listings can show their address, coordinates, availability and rates to eligible signed-in users. Your profile phone and verification evidence are not public listing fields. No background location feature is requested.

Why information is used

Information supports authentication, profile management, charger review, availability, reservation requests, dispute handling and security. The platform does not collect card details or hold payment funds. Direct-UPI checkout stores a snapshot of the host VPA, payee name, server-priced amount, driver-reported transaction reference and host receipt acknowledgement in a restricted ledger. This is manual confirmation, not bank verification. The app does not use advertising analytics. Do not submit Aadhaar numbers, banking details, passwords or payment credentials in free-text forms.

Service providers

PlugNear uses a dedicated Supabase project in Mumbai for account and marketplace data and Vercel for web hosting. Hosting/authentication providers process operational and security information such as IP addresses and logs. Google Fonts receives browser request information when website fonts load. OpenStreetMap tile servers receive the requested map tiles, revealing the viewed area and ordinary connection metadata when the web map is displayed. Google Maps or external navigation services process information when those features are used. Enabled Google, Apple or SMS sign-in providers process login-related information according to their own policies. Some provider processing may occur outside India; the Mumbai database location does not mean all processing stays in India.

Device storage and the fleet planner

Native app sessions use secure device storage; the web app stores session data in browser storage and uses temporary PKCE sign-in verification data. The fleet planner runs locally: its inputs and generated brief are not submitted to PlugNear. The pilot enquiry form prepares an email draft containing the city, role and vehicle type you enter. These details are not sent to PlugNear unless you send the draft using your mail service; no waitlist record is automatically created. The account-deletion request page also prepares an email locally; a request is received only after you send it using your mail service.

Access, corrections and deletion

You can update profile details in Account, sign out, revoke location permission in device settings, or request account and associated-data deletion. We verify ownership before processing deletion. Records needed for unresolved disputes, fraud prevention or legal obligations may require limited retention; support will explain any applicable exception. This policy does not promise a fixed deletion deadline or describe a fully automated deletion system.

Account information is held while the account is maintained and as needed for the purposes above. Contact us for access, correction, retention or deletion questions. We will confirm the scope of a verified request and any records that must be retained. Please do not submit someone else’s personal information without authority. This service is not intended for children.
