Share your charger.
Make the details clear.

Help a neighbour, taxi driver or fleet find a suitable place to charge. Start with an approved installation, permission to host and reliable access. We are recruiting pilot hosts; applying does not guarantee approval or bookings.

Before you apply

  1. Permission: confirm you can share the site and parking space. Obtain landlord, society or business permission where needed. Check your electricity arrangement and applicable local requirements with qualified advisers.
  2. Equipment: record the charger’s make/model, connector and available power. Have a qualified electrician assess the installation, protection and load. A generic socket, adapter or vehicle category does not establish compatibility.
  3. Access: describe parking position, vehicle clearance, opening hours, cable reach and how a driver meets you. Do not place gate codes, passwords, ID documents or bank details in public listing text.
  4. Availability: publish windows you can honour, review requests and keep the charger offline when it cannot be used. A request needs host acceptance; a map status is not a guarantee that equipment works.
  5. Price and payment: choose your rate with actual electricity and site costs in mind. Use a UPI VPA you control. Check funds in your own banking/UPI app before confirming receipt; a screenshot or driver report is not proof.
  6. Insurance and support: check your cover with your insurer. PlugNear does not provide a charger-sharing insurance policy, damage guarantee or emergency response service. Review pilot terms before hosting.

Understand a session’s costs

Change the assumptions below to explore a single illustrative session. These are editable examples, not PlugNear fees, expected demand or an earnings forecast. Nothing is stored or sent.

For illustration, delivering 5 kWh with 10% of input energy lost needs about 5.56 kWh from the supply. Site charges, demand/fixed charges, equipment, maintenance, insurance, payment costs and taxes may still apply. Zero in “other costs” is an assumption, not a promise of no fees.

The pilot is not independently metered. Its booking amount uses the requested energy estimate and listed rate. The calculator does not change that amount or reconcile delivered energy. Agree the estimate and access before starting; differences, refunds and disputes require manual resolution.

Make the first session a supported handover

  1. Review the request, compatibility and parking arrangements before accepting. Meet the driver for the first visit where practical.
  2. After acceptance, the driver uses the booking’s UPI checkout. Verify the actual recipient, amount and receipt before confirming.
  3. Check equipment and access together. Start only when the booking and payment steps permit it. Stop using equipment if damaged or unsafe; contact the host and appropriate qualified help.
  4. Finish the session, release the space on time and raise any issue through Bookings or support. Do not pay an unsolicited “refund fee” or share a UPI PIN.
